Sr.
Consulting Engineer
Consulting
engineering services for all aspects of EMS and SCADA systems, design
and installation of digital channel equipment, and installation and
configuration of Tellabs 5320L Digital Crossconnect System.
Recent
Major Projects
Engineering
for the installation of an EMS at three different sites, which were
linked by networks to form one large system. Tasks included the
placement of the computer equipment and workstations at the sites,
evaluation of present AC electrical power, and the engineering to
provide the circuits to power the new equipment, network connectivity,
communications port connection to existing communications circuits, and
RTU protocol (TRW 9550, Pert 26/31, Granger 8000, SC 1801) testing and
certification. The system consisted of 336 communications ports of
which approximately 200 ports were to be used at the time of
installation.
Consulting
engineering for the installation of a Tellabs 5320L Digital
Crossconnect System with 112 DS1 ports including audio and data
bridging. Tasks included drawings for installation of
equipment, connections to DS1 DSX jackfields and RF radios, fiber optic
terminals, PBX’s, and IT computer equipment. Excel table for all
crossconnects and bridges.
Engineering
drawings for digital channel bank installation and channel assignment
including customer connectivity associated with the upgrade of 5 hops
of analog microwave radio to digital microwave.
Engineering
design and drawings for the installation of GE D20 RTU’s in
substations. Including, configurations to support data translation of
RTU protocols from DNP or MODBUS to SC-1801. The configuration of GE
D20’s to be a DNP Master obtaining data from Siemens meters and SEL
devices.
