Mr.
Anderson has extensive experience in the design, management, and
construction of microwave
radio,
digital cross connect systems (DCS), fiber optics, power line carrier,
relay multiplex,
private
branch exchange (PBX), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
and energy
management
system (EMS) remote terminal units (RTU), backup power systems,
associated
telecommunication
buildings, and radio towers. This experience has been obtained through
projects
completed while working for CC&E Engineers, PacifiCorp, Utah
Power, and Western
Electric.
CC&E
Engineers, Inc. 2003 to present
Mr.
Anderson has been responsible for several large digital microwave radio
conversion projects
that have
included path design and channel planning and implementation. He was
responsible for
the
installation of two digital cross connect systems (DCS) as part of
these projects. He is
also
responsible for the design of several OC48/12/3 fiber projects being
implemented in the
Salt Lake,
Provo, and Ogden areas. These fiber projects have included 10/100bT
LAN’s as well as
channel
design using digital channel banks. He has provided scopes and
estimates for various
fiber,
microwave, and other types of communications equipment required for
generation, line, and
substation
additions.
PacifiCorp/Utah
Power and Light Company
Mr.
Anderson has over 25 years experience in electric utility electronics
communications design.
He served
as a Lead engineer responsible for the design of communications
standards and for
various
large communications systems at PacifiCorp.
In various
positions, Mr. Anderson was responsible for different engineering
functions. These
included
budget estimates, design, planning, and construction of many
communications projects.
These
projects ranged from Power Line Carrier and relay multiplex at 345kv
substations, fiber
optic
cable and electronic equipment design and installation, microwave path
design to include
acquisition
of new sites and construction of all equipment installed on these
sites, and PBX
purchase
and installation.
Western
Electric – 5 ½ years
Prior to
joining PacifiCorp, Mr. Anderson worked for Western Electric in Aurora,
Colorado. Some
of his
responsibilities included the analysis of equipment orders from
Northwestern Bell to
assure the
order was complete, planning orderly growth of equipment in central
offices, and
working
with Bell Laboratories and Western Electric Manufacturing Standards to
resolve equipment
compatibility
problems.
